Happy birthday to this blog!

Yup, my portfolio/private blog/asdfghjkl is now 1 year old. That's why there's a new layout and banner. Hope you like it :)

And here is the graphic from the first banner and my latest:

Do you see any improvement? (I really hope you do because I did my absolute best on this last one)

The graphic to the right has taken me about 2-3 hours I think? and it's made 100% by me without a reference pic or anything. And it has a big, fat outline because I like outlines, if you have a problem with that you can go away :)

Btw it's made on Pixlr.

I think I'll make some sort of raffle/contest thing later today, but you can't expect a big prize, sorry. (I don't want it to be Stardoll-related so the best I can give is a graphic or something)

Please comment on what you think about the new graphic or layout or anything else you want to say :)

Wildgabz's graphic - banner coming soon

Now I'm done with a graphic I have been working on yesterday evening and today at school... actually, that's quite fast for me!

Here it is:

It turned out sort of okay I guess. I don't like the shading on the t-shirt, and my first attempt at floral patterns on the pants didn't turn out that good. In fact those roses look like... dog poos.

On the other hand, I really like the hair and I like the technique I used for the necklace.

It's made in black, grey and white colors, it's full body and it's sort of chic. Wildgabz, that's the sort of thing you asked for, right? If you don't like the pattern on the pants I can remove it, it takes 20 seconds. Now all I need to add is the text.

New banner!

As you probably have noticed by the time you are reading this post, I decided to make a new banner out of the graphic I made earlier today and another one that I made just now.

What do you think about it? In my opinion, it turned out really well!
And here's the second graphic by itself:

P.S. Tomorrow I'm going to Copenhagen with my family for two days (it takes too long time to explain why), so unless I survive a big fight with my mom or secretly take my computer with and have a fight with her later, I won't be online until the day after tomorrow. Maybe I will take my iPod Touch with, so I can answer guestbook comments and stuff, but I can't do any graphics or anything!

Here is darkshadow205's banner that I finally finished. It's also the graphic that I will make a graphic tutorial out of!

It has turned out great, much better than I expected! I'm so proud of it!

There are 2 versions of the banner, you can choose the one you like best.

This is the cropped version. It looks better, but you can't see the full graphic.

The full version. I am not very good at layout of banners, but I think the blurry edge was a good idea. I can also blur the first one, if you want.

Wow. I am amazed with myself. When I look at it I think: 'did I really do this?'. I tried a new and harder shading technique, and it turned out much better than all the other graphics I've done put together! Like, seriously. See for yourself.

Not too sure about the text. I should have moved the bottom part more down, but on my stupid editing program you can't move a selected part of a picture but only the selection itself! If I had to change it, I would have to erase the text AND the shadow underneath it, and do it all one more time! Grr! And I don't have the courage to install a more advanced program!
But if you really don't like it, of course I can change it to something else :)

I'm so happy, because tomorrow is my birthday and I'll be 13 years old! And today is my birthday party! Yay! :D

Sorry that you had to wait for so long, I just started it, like, the day before yesterday! But what do you think? I'm very satisfied with it, my new hair shading technique works really well! I'm maybe going to make a mini-tutorial about how I do it, for other beginners. :)

A makeover and a new banner! :)

Now I am finally done with this banner. It took a long time to make, but I am really proud of the result. It's the best graphic I've ever made!

If you take the text and bubbles off, you can see the shading properly:

Hmm... don't you think I should crop some of the space at the top and some of the skirt? It's somehow too square, otherwise I am quite satisfied with the result! If there's anything you don't like I can edit it again!

Just an idea...

How do you think it will look if I make a banner with all of my favorite graphics on it instead of only one? At least I think I need a new banner, I have improved a lot since I made that last one!

FlirtyValentine's graphic for banner

I made a graphic for FlirtyValentine's banner. She can add the text herself. Here it is:

The dress is a bit rough at the bottom, I can try to fix it or simply pretend that it's meant to be like that. At least, if you make a banner with a dark or coloured background it won't be noticed. Except for that, there are no big mistakes this time, but no huge improvements either.
I started it yesterday evening, and finished today. I guess it took about an hour or two. First I wanted to use a graphic I had already and just put her face in, but then I realized that I had already added skin shading so it would be a waste of time to erase, and it wasn't that good anyway.

What do you think about it? If you find some more faults, I will edit it and post the updated version later!
